The Fulton County Sheriff’s Office is pleased to announce a new, collaborative Gun Buy Back initiative beginning in June, 2016. This project was developed through a partnership of the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office, the Atlanta Police Department, FCSO Chaplaincy Program, and concerned members of the community group, S.A.V.E., an acronym for Stop Atlanta Violence Effectively. The group’s goal is to do more than just talk about gun violence in Fulton County but to actively reduce the number of weapons in the community through programs and education.
The “No Questions Asked” policy of the Gun Buy Back program ensures that anyone who brings a weapon or unused ammunition to surrender will receive a cash payment without fear of interrogation. Inoperable weapons will be purchased at a reduced rate. All weapons will be inspected on site.
The goal is to raise $100,000 to support the Gun Buy Back. This amount is a demonstration of the commitment by the group to make the streets of Atlanta safer. Please help us to reach that goal by donating to this worthy cause. You can donate securely online via PayPal.
